Mary Mumba serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Zambia Credit Guarantee Scheme. She is a certified expert in financial inclusion with over 26 years in the banking sector. Mary began her professional career with ZANACO before joining NATSAVE where she spent 16 years in different portfolios including Branch Manager, Regional Manager, Director- Credit, Chief Compliance Officer as well as Deputy Managing Director. Mary possesses a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration and Development Studies from the University of Zambia. She was also conferred with Master’s Degree in Microfinance from the University of Bergamo in Italy. Additionally, she has a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Business School Netherlands. Other qualifications held by Mary include Diplomas in Banking and Finance and Management as well as certificates in financial inclusion and compliance management. Mary is an alumni of the both the Harvard Business School and the Swedish Institute Management Programme. She is a member of the following professional bodies: Institute of Directors Zambia, Zambia Institute of Bankers, Zambia Institute of Marketing, Institute of Credit Management South Africa and the International Federation of University Women (IFUW).
